Ya were I work now they do the same thing. I try to warn these guys some listen, some get burned. Vary few ever make any money and even fewer ever get to keep the truck.
I talk to the guy in recovery who picks up trucks out on the road that have resualted in lease defualts, and he says they keep him quite buzzy. As he is a company driver himself right
Its kinda messed up how it goes down. They send him out there were the drivers been sitting days on in if not weeks, and tell the guy to pack his shet, get out of the truck and give em the keys. If the they starts to trip they call the police on em and have him removed.
Then they'll get the truck and lease it out to some other sorry shmuck un aware of what he's about to get in to.
They end up leasing that truck several times over until it starts to get paid off, then they make into a company truck until they sell it. I'm driving one of the old lease trucks now.
Im just a company driver known Im not smart enough to get back in one of those lease opps again.
Live and learn or live and go broke.
