Is there any advantage to a driver living close to a terminal?

Such as making it easier to get back home on time and maybe spending a few extra hours there before leaving for the next load? Any chance at possibly being treated more fairly?

I live within 10 miles of USA headquarters and approximately 60 miles from PAM's main office.

Have read bad things about both companies. Looking for some advantages to either. Thanks.....

In most cases the closer you live to a terminal the shorter your commute to your truck. Not alot of the bigger companies let you take your truck home, from what learned when looking for jobs.

I live 100 miles from my terminal but I don't mind the commute because I like the company and I stay out on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time so it's not that big of a deal.
