King of Prussia mall is a beast. But, it's surprisingly EASY to service. Wish they were all as organized as that place.

It was a absolute pleasure to work out of there most days traffic or not. Yes it is a BEAST.. whoo. but you get used to it.
The last time I was there, I ran into a Nurse in a fur coat and the hot coffee burned my shift hand really bad. Shifting was a dicey issue rest of the day wrapped in cold rags in ice but fortunately I already had a previous 2nd on that hand and the body did not blister over too much that tough skin. Her coat got wet but she recognized that if I went to burn center, it is a even split loss between pending medical bills for me and her coat. Not to mention some really fast first aid on the spot. -

GFS's Atlantic operations while small now are pretty impressive. They have it going on out here a sales-service warehouse in Aberdeen and then Pottsville, Chains relay and drop 50ft trailers at a yard a mile or so from the warehouse. So GFS is out there running around the east coast this is all new territory to the company. However I guess there's a quite a few stops that they are gaining and everyday there are more and more.
Actually Aberdeen has some different equipment then we do out in the vally. They have the same standard GFS iconic 28' and 50' trailers, but they also have some straight trucks not the 10 wheelers Canada has, but the Freightliner M2's that Haserot uses only in GFS Livery there pretty cool. -
Okay so here is how it went down, I saw one of @Dumdriver co-workers this morning in Germantown on Germantowne Pike, nice area out there by the way kind of like our Cleveland Heights, but nicer.
Then I saw @Sho Nuff today as well delivering the mail. Also saw a Key Stone Freight truck.
In addition to that I saw @Pintlehook hook I saw him today on I-95 I saw a Supervalue truck and said "Oh there's Pintelhook."
Also saw one of @Cardfan89 co-workers headed into Phillidelphia this morning on I-95 at 4amish. So I'm seeing everyone around here.
I guess tomorrow I'll go for some crab cakes at some place called tidewater grill.
Also saw some of truck guys co-workers.
So anyhow here is how it went down. Got up at 2:45am this morning and went over to DC. The driver I was working with today ran into me out in the yard. We climbed into his truck and took off. Nobody actually told me what time to be at work and who I was with and I probably could have gotten a free day, but I don't play that way can't see the sights or make any money sitting in a hotel room.
Sometimes even with local delivery you get to see the sights and beyond just the box you travel in. Plus I got a nice hotel room and rental car and get to almost be on a working vaction and am getting paid extra for it. They pay for my meals too, sooo. I mean I know alot of people don't like trucking and say it's a bad industry, but...if you work and do your job and I think try to have a good attitude and have some patience and do what you are supposed to do you can actually still have a little funBob Dobalina, G13Tomcat, Pintlehook and 2 others Thank this. -
If you can't find a decent place to eat, I would recommend Royal Farms. Unlike Wawa, they serve Burgers, Chickens, all the good stuff that'll cause you to fail your medical exam. Over in DE, Royal Farms are EVERYWHERE, more so than WaWa. Try their chicken fingers, REALLY good. Sheetz is OK, but WaWa serves good coffee though. Let us know where you're headed tomorrow.

I chose not to because for one thing hot coffee does not really bother me. Now playing with a hot harley part of a engine is foolish, once burnt twice shy.
For those not old enough to remember, McDees had once a system wide temperature for coffee that was boiling or nearly so. In them days the large coffee was like almost a foot high and only a few inches across and if you bumped someone with that stupid tray.. it's going to hurt you or someone.
I left out mcdees because I did not want people to give me a hard time about mcdees coffee not knowing anything about those class actions back in the day. I was more of a tougher sort of person back then, a little pain helped keep me awake fighting Philly rush anyhow. SO .. Ive gotten really bad these days when it comes to pain and perhaps it's poetic I should be consumed by it some day. -
