Well we spent last night at the Petro, tried using our old laptop w/idle air, it doesn't even have a place for an ethernet cord.
That idleair is not up to date with software needed to view certain web pages, like some things needing dobe. We had trouble viewing fox news & mapquest. Why would you offer services and not be up to date. We got rid of the keyboard thinking we didn't need it. Oh well, had to come back today waiting to deliver, and knew TA had internet.
I did like the looks of the Petro this morning, but the lady at the checkstand was very slow. I've only been here a little while, but will check out the facilities as soon as my air time expires!
btw, I must be a jinx, spouse was just issued new truck (2007 bilt) & we
spent the day in Bakersfield at Cummins!!! ugh!

RBPC, great idea! That would be neat to hear all the driver's reports from the truck stops. I never thought of that, really...we could have our "eyes and ears" crew, LOL. Live news reports from truckstops throughout the country. I tell ya, times sure have changed in trucking.

Like WiseOne said, this is such a cool idea, RBPC! Thanks for starting this thread!

Thanks WiseOne & Ducks! I guess we'll see how it goes! It could become very interesting when the numbers grow. Even if it is just passengers that post, since I know ya'll are pretty much ready to relax when you hit the place where you'll hit the hay
! I couldn't even post smilies out there. Not sure if it was my laptop or the connection.
I won't be out again til winter break probably, so no live truck stop news here unless I can get my driver/spouse to post. Til then, Over & Out!
(now let's see if I can post my Kitty Litter Mountain photo, I mean Ralston Purina -Cat Litter Plant -scenery in Maricopa)
