I need to start saving money, but i have a weakness for quick meals and fast food. Recently though I bought a little George Foreman and my gf and I have been using that to make meals as well as truck stops microwaves. It has earned its $15...lol. However, we arent using it enough. All we have is a cooler to keep things cold in, but buying ice every other day is annoying. I guess though its not to bad if we have to do it. I've been thinking of buying a little fridge, but I have no clue where to put it. Maybe on the top bunk somewhere. Im in a T660 Aerocab so we dont have a lot of room in here. Anyway, today between lunch and dinner I spent $40. Thats way to much money. I told my gf that i think we could eat nice and healthy on $75-$100 and she laughed at me. I told her thats what we are going to do from now on. Hopefully I can accomplish this and save some serious money.

Get plenty of rest. Lol snoozing during the test probably wouldn't be a good thing!

O k ,,,,, sorry for the late Response ,,,, I Took the drive Test on Friday and i failed ,, now , before you pass Judgement let me tell you all what happened ,, and i would really like your feed back and what you think of my fail Turn ,,,

I passed all the test and the road trip but one turn ,, i am at a 2 lane intersection it is a 4 way light ,,, he told me to make a right turn at the light and when i got to the light there was a car in the turn lane to the right of me and he was making a left turn and was going to pass me and go past my left side and so on ,,, i hope that makes sens ,, i have a 48 foot trailer behind me plus my tractor 1994 international with a condo,,, so its not a shorty ,, i told the tester i cannot make this turn while the car is in the turn lane , i need a few feet of his lane to make my turn so i had to sit thru the light until he was gone ,, so he failed me for fail to obay a traffic light ,, ok there it is ,,, please comment ,, i am going to retest on thursday or friday this week and i only have to take the Road test ,, my school instructor told me to not make that turn if there is a car there so i did what i was told to do ,, also no other schools CDL schools in my area use 48 foot trailers ,,,, they all use 28 foot trailers with smaller trucks that have a back window to look out of ,, ok i have to run and again sorry for the late update ,,, please comment i would love to hear everyones thoughts on this ,,, have a great day and be safe out there ! God Bless. :Straight road:

When I took my CDL road test my school uses Freightliners with the sleeper except it had passenger seats back there in the bunk haha with a 53 ft trailer. On the test route before hand all of us students were told there are a couple turns you cannot make it if there is a car in a turn left turn lane. You will need part of that turn lane to make the turn so you don't hit the curb.

Obviously if you hit a curb automatic failure, same with if you make a car backup automatic failure. So lucky for me I didn't have a car in the left turn lanes for those turns.

So we were told the exact same thing. Just wait at the light for the lane to open up before you make your turn if there is a car there. I was told there were some students in the past who had to wait multiple lights before making that turn.

The tester should not have failed you for that in my opinion. If it's impossible for your truck to make that turn then you did exactly the right thing and waited.
