I lost weight in school too. Left school at 176#. I gained it back while out with my trainer, 192#. Now I'm on my own and eat better, slowly loosing a few #. Need to exersize more thow. I bought a dumbell to use while driving. If I feel I'm getting tired, I do 50 reps on each arm, seems to get the blood flowing again.

It'll go by quick! Chances are you will have a blast. Another plus is that you will get some good winter driving experience in while you are still with your trainer. I know it sounds crappy but it really isn't bad riding with a trainer. You would really regret it if you didn't. You're going to end up in many predicaments before your training is over and you will be very thankful to have someone there with you who knows what they are doing.

Make the best of it man, learn everything you can while you are out there. Who knows maybe you will end up liking your trainer and want to team drive. If for any reason though you feel as if he isn't training you properly or makes you do anything illegal then be sure to speak up immediately. You also don't want to be used as a team driver either. Anything more than 4500-5000 miles a week is more team driving than training. Don't be afraid to speak up, this happens quite frequently. Its not a big deal to switch trainers if you aren't getting along.

Earl Henderson is a pretty decent company and they have nice equipment. You will be much better off there than starting with Swift and your chances of making a lasting career there is much greater. Good luck man, keep in touch and let us know how your training goes.

chompi : Great to hear from you !! I value your Information and outlook on trucking very much ,, i was just sitting here thinking the same thing actually , even though it seams long and under paid i do think it would be worth it to learn all i can and come out a better driver and more sure of my self and make getting off on my own a little easier after its all said and done ,, and yes,, from what i can find and read on Earl Henderson they seam to be on the upper end of the scale as far as pay, how they treat employees ,, Long term is my M . O . i do not like to jump around from company to company so this may just work out we will see and i will keep updating and asking more question :) thanks chompi:Straight road:

I have about 4 more weeks to go before i Upgrade to my own Truck ,, only thing is i dont want to run Solo i wanted to run teams but my Bro had trouble with his Trainer about the 4 th week out and they let him go ugh ,, this really bows ... :Straight road:

Hey man, glad to hear all is well! That's great you are loving it out there! If you like running team and that's what you want to do then maybe your company can pair you up with somebody. You will definitely make a hell of a lot more money! Also sounds as if you have a pretty grasp as to how teams run anyway!

Well that's awesome man, congrats! If you need anything feel free to holler! Keep us up to date, drive safe man...
