I once made a triple play in tee ball by catching a fly ball then running to all the bases and touching them because I didn't trust my teammates to catch the ball.

It was, but I don't think a lot of the parents were happy about it. I'm pretty sure nobody would've been mad and blamed me if I threw the ball instead and it got dropped.

OK if you were my driver, and you called me with this issue, I would have told you to stop somewhere with lots of room and wait. I would have called the broker and asked them what are they going to do to get the load OFF MY TRUCK!

I would tell them that the truck isn't going to move with a load 10k over because of the damage it could do and the liabilities involved - PERIOD!

If he/she tells me to call the shipper, I would tell him/her my contract isn't with them, it is with YOU! IT IS your problem work this all out and in the mean time, I will be expecting $x amount of money per hour until the load if off MY TRUCK.

If it was really my truck, that's $500 an hour which will also cover the damage but a tonka truck and little trailer, it could be as low as $125 an hour.

See OP, here is what the real problem is. First there is damage to the trailer and truck with overloading it.

The second is if you get into an accident, I can see a 8 or 9 digit payout, you will be broke and maybe in jail if there is a fatality. If my driver was in an accident and I was sued, I would be going after the shipper, their personal like the dock manager, even the lift driver, beside the broker.

Now the other side of the coin is I would be having a come to Jesus talk with the driver, especially if it is a tonka toy truck. How in the hell can you not tell it is overweight with a little truck?

Ukhm. Looks like gravy load gone bad. How about getting a real truck that can carry actual loads?
