I have an older 377 Pete with newway air suspension. I raised one side of suspension because it was 1/4 inch low now when loaded my load gauge reads about 10 psi higher 84lbs. Does this sound normal or do I have something else going on? Thanks in advance

Any time you adjust or replace a levelling valve it will change your "load guage" readings.

Time to load a full load and find a CAT scale.

Ignore those factory load gauges. They are just another useless gauge to distract your attention from the road. They are not accurate and should never be factored in any calculation for weight. A proper scale should always be used like ralph mentioned. Your gauge now shows different because you have in fact increased the pressure on that side to even out the level side-to-side. You must have dual leveling valves, and the load gauge is only reading off of the one side. It must have been on the side that was low.

i use my factory gauges all the time to get my weight right pretty darn accurate too. new way does use two level valves one for each side and probably when you leveled it out it's just showing the difference in the pressure where you adjusted it. i do know one thing when my leveler valve is going bad the pressure is all over the place on the gauge!

Of course if you increase air pressure that it will increase the gauge pressure.
All you have done is gone back to square one... like suggested, hit the CAT scale and learn your gauge again.

btw mine shows 50 psi @ 34,000 yet on my last truck it was 60 psi... the difference was the airbags on the suspension of each truck.

I am thinking I have a leveler valve going bad as load gauge has been all over the place a few times for no reason.

I guess I'll have to take out my load gauge after 12 years and using it thousands of times.

I had one of the neway air rides years ago, I liked the exceptional ride quality but was always having the same issues that have been described here. After talking with several guys that had run Neway quite a bit, every one that I talked to had eliminated one of the leveling valves, and all the problems went away. I did the same thing and likewise had no more problems, I just ran both sides from the same valve, and the suspension was always level and there were no other problems, for what ever that is worth to you.

how did you do that? did you just eliminate one valve? Do you have to relocate it?

when you ajust ride height you change weight dsistribution, so use scale to "calibrate" gauge
