Why test the basket when we can throw all our eggs in it and watch them all fry on the concrete in the summer? Sounds like a setup for disaster to me. Just my opinion on the matter at hand. Looking back on everything I wished I would've started out with about 5 million...might have made a million in about 10 years and paid off the 5 million dollar loan right before I was laying on my death bed.

Not sure why I should be concerned with load procurement... Load boards and if I'm the cheapest I'm sure they'll let me have it. I'll be fully insured so it's not like I'm gonna be a bigger risk. Everybody has to have a young MC# at some point

i don't want to discourage you but even with the Capitol do u think this is a good idea? You're going to start with a reefer, do u know what a lumper is? Do you understand how the pallet exchange generally works? Are you aware that you can spend a day waiting at a grocery warehouse with no pay? Do you know the difference between 3:42 rears and 3:94 rears or howto correctly spec a truck? Do you know the problems with the 2007 post emissions engines? Are you aware that some states have weight and distance taxes aside from IFTA and heavy use tax? These are just some of the issues that will affect your bottom line. I've been doing this for 17 years and maybe know half of what's involved in the trucking business. Start as a company driver, save the Capitol and after two years minimum, take a look at it and ask yourself if this is still a good idea. As a former commercial driving instructor I can tell you that statistically over 70% of students that graduate are out of the industry within a year. Good luck to you.
