I should also point out a driver arrived after me with a Conestoga trailer going to same destination as me.
Probably should have raised some red flags for me that that's the type of trailer this load should have went on.
Broker likely knew this as well but brokers being honest is a sin.

DSV actually has a decent lease purchase. You drive for a percentage of the line haul, and your paycheck is based on mileage. So, no matter what, if you run, you get a paycheck. And your truck gets paid. No snowballing of payments just because you went home.

Yeah i pay myself 30% of linehaul. I get 75 of linehaul, everything else is 100% to the truck. All the profit for the month goes towards the truck payment. Which kinda sucks, but at the same time makes me work harder. And makes it easier when the truck breaks or u wanna spend a week or 2 at home. Definatly a great company to lease to as an owner operator . We got all kinds of open deck freight. They done nothing but treated me well and gave me the opportunity to learn the business. Still wouldnt recommend a lease purchase deal, but its definatly one of the better programs out there.

I think we need a thread on more trucker vocabulary because I have no idea what “linehaul” means

West coast freight sucks for flatbed . Its tough until u meet the right people. Even then, still tough. would be working the midwest if it wasnt for the rock loads. Cuz there aint #### out here , especially if u dont wanna run cali

Idk which is worse, Arizona or California; I’d take New Mexico, Nevada and everything up
