Looking to get my own numbers started in a few months. I'd like to begin watching the boards and study some potential lanes for obvious reasons. Problem is, I don't have a DOT number yet but ITS and/or DAT both require one. Any tips/advice here? I'm currently leased on with a carrier. Could I just use that number?

I don't see the harm in it. It's not like you'll be booking a load with a broker. You just looking, right?
DSK333 Thanks this. -
Indeed. No way I would do anything of the sort without his permission. My only goal here is to really start studying lanes and rates. Maybe make some calls or post the truck somewhere as well but never actually booking anything.

Yes, thanks. It's not very good though. You get what you pay for. However, I did try to sign up for it so I could call on a few posted loads but the app literally tried to force me to agree to tracking just to create a user ID...not cool.

I’ve been using it for a month to watch for local loads for the same reason you’re working on it. There’s other free ones like freightfinder.com or go straight to the broker websites.
