So rather than call a wrecker, wouldn't it be prudent to slip under the tractor, disconnect the leveling valve linkage, and over-inflate the driver air bags? Maybe you could do that on the trailer as well? I don't drive anything that new, but I'm pretty sure things haven't changed that much.

When I was running in the Electronics fleet at North American Van Lines, for a time I ran a trailer like a moving van with an 11" drop. Had a switch on the front of the trailer that would raise the rear of the trailer up to normal dock height. Never looked under to see how it operated. Don't think the standard air bags could be over inflated to raise the trailer up 11" though.

My leveling valve would be almost impossible to disconnect while hooked to a trailer. It's up underneath the 5th wheel so getting your arms in a position to get the cotter pin out would be challenging, getting it disconnected - forget it.

I would have tried cranking the landing gear until all the weight was off the tractor, disconnect and pull forward a foot, then put some 2 x 4 s behind the drives, back up and recoupled.
