Thanks Scarecrow, cool video. Question-how do you tell when one hopper is mty and need to close 1 valve and open another or, do you open them all at once?

Each hopper has what they called vibrators, when they go crazy, and the tank pressure reaches "0" your empty.. When we unload we usually let the the first two hoppers drop to around 8psi, close the hopper then open up another. On the last hopper we let it go to "0". Then build up each of the two other hoppers (one at a time) to about 5-8psi and when it reaches "0" it is done..

we haul crushed limestone. It's about the same consistancy as baby powder. I'm usually empty in the same time frame.

You can hear the hoppers going empty as well if you're not standing by the gauges. Also

Basically what he did was let the pressure get well over 15psi. He blew either the bags or filters depending on what that particular silo had... Standard pressure for tankers is no more than 17psi tank pressure. Unload no more than 12-14psi..

According to him the silo was full, sounded an alarm and before he could get to shutoff the truck the top blew.

Hauled alot of frac sand for the oilfield depending on how long the hose we could unload 50-60000 lbs in about 20-30 min normally run 14.5 to 15 psi all the way all 3 holes open at once GET-R-DONE But if you had one hiccup you were plugged off and have to suck the hose to get goin again I miss my pneumatic
