local driver misses the otr driving

@Dave_in_AZ, as I've said before, there is something in trucking for just about everybody. And the majority of drivers who have much time in, have worked many different types.

 

Dealing with office weasels is a hit or miss thing with me. But even if they are terrible, I tend to learn how to tolerate their ways of doing things after not too long.
Being out there on the road in some place where you're always going to be a stranger shoots a surprise at you every day. I'd rather not have to keep my settings on a rotating frequency.

But, as said above, there's something for everybody in this line of work. Some people like normalcy, some people like the surprises every day. It's all about finding your niche and jumping into it before being out of your element gets you into a position you don't want to be in.
