I am thinking about going to truck driving school and getting a job hauling flatbed for a year or two to get the experience i need to get a good local job.(hopefully) Anyway my question is will hauling flatbed hurt my chances of a local job? Are there many flatbed jobs local?(NW Ohio) If not do the others want dry-van exp.?(Sorry i see this belongs in the new drivers questions section)

I dont see how it would negatively influence other jobs. I work local P&D and NO ONE wants to do the deck work, so I would imagine you wouldnt have a hard time finding deck work locally (although I dont know your area).
    Good luck!

If your looking for local flatbed work, start out looking into local steel warehouses that deliver around town, or building supply warehouses like Blue Linx or something.
