    Anyone know of any local trucking companies in the Kansas City area that will hire recent grads? I can't go OTR right now like I want to because of a family emergency. I need to be home on the weekends for the next few months.

    Local companies typically won't hire recent grads...they usually require 1-2 years OTR.

    Try real small, mom and pop companies. Maybe they'll feel sorry enough for you to bring you on.
