R&L, huge barn right there in Ypsilanti, they're hiring pretty much all the time. They were nice guys, went thru the process last summer and got an offer but stayed at my company. Road test was very basic pretrip, around the block and back into a dock upon return.

Take a ride down to Eastern Market and poke around the produce houses (Maceri, Lopiccolo, del Bene, wolverine packing, Nuccio, Simon Leeman to name a few), small family companies that are almost always looking for a good driver. Wolverine runs semis regionally west to Chicago and east out to Pittsburgh I think.

As every new drivers friend Chinatown says, don't worry what the website says about required experience, apply anyways. Many companies will overlook their own requirements for a good candidate.

I have another question, so my friends wants to start truck driver to but just got his regular license this year. He have been driving without one since 16 he is 23 now, do he have to have his regular license for a couple years before he can get his cdl?
