Robertsons doesnt pay squat here ($14). Id say temp agencies too but they require a year. My company is hiring but we're in eastvale (by ontario off 15 and 60). Theyll hire you but probably put you in a bobtail for a few months. Its food service and hard work but strictly local and we have a drop yard in santa fe springs. Pm if youre interested

LA is tough even with experience.Cant imagine that First day out.And yeah Old Dominion and Yellow drivers tend to "Hang on" to them good driving jobs till they are either medically disqualified or pass away.

Does anyone know if you can get a set schedule at Robertson's or do they pretty much own you 24/7?

Dont go to robertsons thats a company for felons and other low lives (no offense to anyone who works there). You get paid crap and driving their mixer wont be viewed as viable experience

Don't they have some Class-A jobs, such as dry bulk cement?

Every cement/concrete plant needs rock, sand, and limestone. You need a full class A truck in for every 3 mixers that go out.

Yes but as a rookie they'll throw him in a mixer. Ironically theyre very strict with hiring requirements probably due to the fact they have bottom of the barrel insurance
