I shovel it down but I can't get everything. I just hate it when there are men on the jobsite who feel the need to do my job just because I look like a small woman and I am weak. Trust me , I might be pretty but I know how to do my job. If you want a 5" slump, I got it. If you want it 6" deep, I got it.

 

I trust that you can do your job well. I have worked with many women throughout my career that also did their jobs very professionally. I am not one of the people who judge a book by the cover. The fact that one person knows their job doesn’t discount the fact that a lot of other people know a great deal about our jobs also. In my single days I dated a female firefighter and UPS driver and I wouldn’t challenge either one of them back in my prime as they could both hold their own.

 

Sometimes I don't get the respect a guy would because I used to be a go-go dancer. But I can do do the job. I never ask for help. I work jut as hard and many times harder to earn the respect from my co-workers and the people I pour for.

 

What do you do when you don't have a shovel? You pull off the chute, hit the ground a couple of times and it comes out. I'm mostly talking about new construction. In the middle of nowhere. You gotta do what you gotta do.

 

Hey you, I have cleaned out many a truck, not just mine. I keep my truck fairly clean but I have had to clean out trucks that broke down with concrete in them. Not fun! Yes, I am a woman and a fine looking one at that. Dumb ### contractors would request me just because I am good looking. Screw them! I am good at my job!

 

They overloaded me one of many times overloaded and I braked to make my turn and my concrete came out all over the road. I had to stop and shovel it off! Fun!!

That was my first commercial driving job 34 years ago. I still remember a few things about it.
