Local Tanker jobs in Austin TX?

My wife is from Russia and her sister and family live there. She was an English teacher in Russia, so she'll be looking for a teaching gig of some sort. I just sold my barber shop in Naples FL and I might actually buy a day cab if there's a good O/O gig. I used to run belly dump, had my own Ford 9000 when I was 23

Fuel and LP is sounding pretty good. Be a company driver...

I miss doing LTL but sounds like the freight is slow in the industry right now

 

These folks were company or O/O? Is it just too inconsistent work? The website says $5000 week, maybe they're full of #$%^

I'd probly buy an old '04 or '05 cummins daycab for cash and look into tanker/pneumatic maybe.

My problem with some of these company driver applications is that I haven't driven in 3.5 years, even though I have 25 years clean MVR and 7 years and over 100,000 miles with R+L.

 

The other thing I'm concerned about is if the economy takes a dump. I'd probly be better off as a company guy running a fuel tanker than an O/O running aggregate
