Hi, I have had my CDL for 15 years now. Throughout those years, I've used my CDL working for a utility company with bucket trucks (5 years), route sales (ice and produce total of 4 years), and for the last two years, I've been delivering for a hardware and building supplies company. I've got the years of experience that are needed for most jobs, except my experience does not include any OTR. I've basically been putting it off for a long time, spent all of these years unwilling to go OTR because of my children, but now that they're older and because I know I could be making much more money, I'm ready to do it. I'm in lower Alabama, between Mobile and Pensacola, FL. I'd like to find a trucking job that doesn't keep me out more than two weeks at a time and that will also allow my wife to ride along sometimes. I'm not restricted to automatics, have been driving 10 speeds over the last 5 years. I'm also wanting to find something that gives me the opportunity to make $1500+ a week. Having said all of that, if anyone has any suggestions for a trucking company that would be willing to hire a guy like me, please, let me know. Thanks!
