I took tonight off... I'm sure you know this, but if not, most 6/2 that work out of our DC take 56 hours off...
You'll see messages from time to time from Kevin asking if guys want to do a 34 hour break & get paid a extra
$100 on top... The week of Easter you'll been on 34's...
    enjoy your time off...

Whatever happens, happens. Just rolling with it right now. Is this week really Easter?

Anyway just came off my reset waiting to do orientation since I missed last week due to being stuck out on the road with a blown drive.

I spent last night at home. This dummy they got planning for us now had me sitting for 18 hours and I said screw it so I went home and finally got to see one of my boy's karate classes for the first time which was awesome because it's so hard to motivate him to do anything but he is so focused when he's there. We went to the park, I actually got to go out to dinner with my kids and wife which is rare these days. The whole day was awesome. Maybe there is hope for my family to stay together yet.

As for schneider, my give a #### 's busted. They hired that clown on permanently and hes planning our loads from GB. I just sit around for 15+ hours on every load yet only get 34 off every weekend. We had 3 drivers quit recently, one of them being another 30 year driver gone. The ol' hands are dropping off like flies and the newbies don't even last a month. It's a shame but times are certainly changing here and if yesterday taught me anything, it's that life is too #### short to stick around too much longer. I have far too much to lose at home and her feet are already halfway out the door. I have 2 stops in NY today. This one was a bear to get to and the next is even worse. I don't care, I still got a big ol' smile on my face. I hope one thing makes you guys happy today before the tide of crap rolls back in.

I thought it was against policy too. If you back up on a street because you miss a turn or something, you get fired. Delivering a load on the other hand, nobody even blinks at it. I'd have to count them all but I have at least 15 customers that are off street and most of them blindside. I go to probably a solid 10 places that dont even have docks for big trucks... that should tell you something about how we shouldn't even be there in the first place.

Dude, bail and go somewhere else, if you can. Go apply at all the ltl carriers in your area. No trucking job is worth your family.

learn what is important.......dude, you're delivering to all these places in NYC and doing it for chump change with Schneider. A man with your skill set could / should easily get a decent local job paying more.

learn what is important........you will never get those days / hours back with your son.

I fully agree. I was trying to get a little more experience in and put some distance between that accident I had in Queens a couple months ago but like I said, new circumstances at IP and home has expedited my thought process on that. There is an owner operator who lives down the block from me that i talk to now and then. He just does drop hooks to PA Monday thru Friday home every night. He usually has a driver running for him but I've noticed he's been taking care of the runs lately. I'm gonna ask him if he is looking .Plus there are a ton of propane and fuel oil companies in my neck of the woods. And yes a whole lot of LTL work as well. Just about the only good thing about NJ is that trucking jobs certainly aren't scarce.
