On Friday I drove for the first time this month. It fell under the 100 mile exemption so I only did company paperwork. Starting Monday I will not be under the 100 mile so I have to log. What do I put in my log so I have the 6 days worth? Do I have to create a separate page for last Monday through Thursday, I was assuming I do? What do I put down for Friday?
    thanks

You have to summarize the last 7 days prior to the current day.

Assuming you worked one day prior and whatever you did before that was non-HOS, assuming days are ordered as follows:
    Day 1-6 off duty
    Day 7 local driving work
Day 8 beyond 100 air-mile driving work (let's call that OTR driving)

Log page 1 Off-duty from midnight to midnight
in the summary section write off-duty Aug x - Aug y, 2011(with "x" and "y" being actual dates)

Log page 2 off-duty from midnight to when you started working (not when you started driving), then drop down to "on-duty, not driving" from start of work until end of work (which includes all of your driving). Don't detail your changes of duty status just makes sure you show on-duty, not driving for all of your time at work that day (which includes your driving time. In the summary section "local driving/work city, state"

Log Page 3 log it like you drive it. Do it just like an OTR driver.

BTW, are you sure you were under the 100 air-mile rule? That's not something the driver usually can just decide because he stays close to home. But that's another topic.

Yeah, assuming you're a "local" driver, day 1-6, off duty, day 7, local, then Monday, log it as you do it. However, if you're an OTR driver, day 7 will be a "log-it-as-you-do-it" day, even if it's under a hundred miles.

Thanks, the round trip was 60 miles so it was local even though I did it a few times.

You should know it's not highway miles that makes up the 100 mile rule it's as the crow flies.
