I would like to ask jarmans, if you actually went to that guidance and read any of it, if you did you might have asked yourself ,, how old is this guidance ??? cause in several items it refers to the old 10 hour driving and 8 hours off, in item 3 and in several items above and below number 26. I guess johan didn't realize that he had dug up a dinosaur bone.

like I said ya got to be smarter than the average bear.

I guess that didn't register to anyone

I am in fact living up to that signature line, trying to help folks up and see the light and quit being blinded by fear.

if youre talking to me, nope not at all. I know how to log legal under the regs, I have had as many as 8 trucks running under my authority, had logs audits and had all the drivers logging like I do. I have never been questioned about always logging off duty.

you simply have to be smart enough to not give more info than required or shoot yourself in the foot.

its not falsification at all, its called following the rules as they are written. its worked for me for a long time. I simply keep it up to date, nice and neat , and no problems.

It doesn't look that way to me but if it makes you feel better then so be it.

That's great that you are never questioned. And I say more power to ya.

But if (for whatever reason) the facts were presented that you are logging sleeper berth as off duty, I seriously doubt the authority having jurisdiction would agree that it was not falsification.

No no you don't get it. He's "helping" other drivers by advising them to falsify their logs and then learn to just keep their mouths shut about it. He feels that's good advice which "helps" others learn to not be scared of the man whatever that means.
