Loitering at Waffel House

It is directly across from the Flying J

 

WH has to be doing something right. I know the one in Oak Grove, Ky is busy with locals and drivers. Coffee good, food not bad and price is good.

Cant stand the guy. He's the guy thats jockeying for the waitress' attention while shes trying to take your order. Okay, I can overlook that. He knows everyone that drives on the road in front of the diner. That doesnt bother me. He believes as gospel everything they said on the evening news and wants to share what he learned with everyone. Ugh...stay calm. The irritation part comes when AFTER he continually interrupted me while I was trying to place my order, and sharing every bit of information he has learned in the last 24 hours to everyone within the zip code,...

...he tries to hold a conversation with me. "Fella, dont you see my back turned to you? Did you not notice that I sat as far away from you as I could? You have nothing useful to say to anyone and you walked all the way over here and are now breathing on my eggs. I would really appreciate it if you would walk your A double S back over to your seat and leave me alone."

 

Pork chops, southern classic style; eggs, scrambled with cheese; hashbrowns, smothered, covered, peppered, and sometimes chunked.

Just can't beat it!

 

I got food poisoning from a Waffle House years ago, will never eat there again.

 

I got food poisoning from many places. I choose not to eat at particular restaurants. However, there are good and bad in every chain.

 

Hmmmm, maybe you need to be a little nicer to the servers, and leave a tip too. . .

Personally, I'm with Blackadder47, if I get food poisoning someplace, I'll never go there again. I got sicker than sick from Arby's in Denver back in the '60's. I've never gone into an Arby's since.
