Got two truck both with c15 acert. Both trucks are same exact. One starts up right away. And the other has a long extended crank. It has brand new batteries, cleaned all cables for corrosion even on the starter. But it still has a long extended crank. Feels like it doesn't get fuel right away. Anyone know what can be causing this?

Truck is losing it's prime somehow. My 05 had a bad fuel tank shutoff valve that drew air into the fuel system. Amazing how much better the truck started and ran after fixing it.

Leave the key in the on position for about 30 seconds before you start, if it starts right away, you are loosing prime somewhere

try a new fuel check valve in the secondary filter housing, part #238-0296, sounds like a classic case of it leaking.

    JohnP3 Thanks this.

Nope. Key on will not make difference on a cat.

I agree with the check valve in the filter housing. It could also be the hand pump, but you generlaly see at least some dampness on or aournd them when they start to leak.
