Most food grade plants and customers prohibit pets in the truck.

People may do it, but it's a permanent ban if you get caught.

If you want to be out in the system with Trimac, be prepared for all kinds of loads, but mostly hazmat.

After four and a half years of hauling food grade liquids, never once did I encounter a shipper or receiver who even inquired about pets in the tractor.

You, sir, may rest easy. :salute:

What he said, can't recall ever seeing a prohibition on pets in the truck. There may be restrictions on letting them out while on site.

I stand corrected. I spoke too broadly.

Two of our big shippers (name rhymes with "Argill") have you sign a gate pass certifying you have no pets in the truck. One will actually check at random (get on the step and peek in).

Many have "no pets allowed" on that three-foot by six-foot sign listing all the "don'ts" at the entrance. They don't ever check.

TLDR: If your pet can stay quiet and out of sight, it shouldn't be a problem.

If you gotta walk Rover everytime the truck stops, and he takes a dump in the staging yard at the jelly bean plant, it's gonna be a problem.

Well, I haven't been everywhere. It stands to reason that there are going to be restrictions somewhere, some place.
