So all my problems with my truck, wrong weight, wrong permits, holiday.... Will cause me to be under this load for 11days. All of this was out of my control. This load was only going 1,000 miles, picked it up on a Friday, permits we're good all weekend, only was supposed to weigh 65k, weighed 76k.

When it's all done it took me 11days to go 1,000 miles, what's your story?

My worst was a load out of Houston to casper Wyoming. It was 22 wide 21 tall I was 119 feet long and just shy of 200 k on 12 axles. I had that load on my trailer for 98 days and most of that was getting out of Texas. I sold that trailer 3 years ago and sure do miss it. But that one was three months to go 1400 miles.

Yea it was horribly boring but the upside was I got paid 1200 dollars a day from the day I loaded until I delivered. That was back when oil companies didn't mind spending money the rates are nothing like that now. Permits, pilot cars, bucket trucks, and police escorts were all extra on top of that number. I've never had one since that payed that well and probly never will.

Picked a load in Atlanta GA going to Selma AL. Supposed to pick one day and drop the next. Ended up sitting on it for 45 days before we could unload. Didn't know until we arrived the destination that it was a Katrina FEMA load. We just thought it was a load of bricks.
