Until God takes retirement or until end of time. There is nothing in the law about staying out. Theoratically with a perfect employer and a routine that maintains health and sanitation I could have gone away at 21 on dispatch and stayed out until past 65. I would have showed up just to collect a new truck now and then and pile of paper work etc.
In my time you ran from about mid feb late feb all the way to chain season late october and went home. Let others deal with winter while you shoved piles of unneeded dollarbills into your fireplace.
