Tarping is good for you. I want to get home as much as possible and still make decent money. And yes, I too am leaning toward the percentage plan. Also, I am curious about the food, both the breakfast at the Country Heath Inn, as well as the lunch TMC feeds us.

i think they only give you lunch
-
That is correct, TMC only feeds you lunch. I have, however, read from both the new hire checklist as well as the hotels web site that the Inn serves breakfast.

I guess what I was wondering, was, will the food be any good? Are we going to get a 1/2 ounce box of cereal for breakfast, or will there be sausage, bacon, eggs and grits? For lunch, will TMC feed us a ham sandwich with 1 peice of ham and no Miracle whip or cheese? And will the bread be stale?

Don't count on the Breakfast in S.C. Country Hearth to fill you up. Its a continental breakfast (toast, begal, cereal) . The lunches will be an assortment. Its a crap shoot what they will bring on any given day, some examples we got were: hamburger, chili dogs, gumbo, sausage and peppers, pork chop, chicken fingers. They will bring in 50 lunches all the same each day at 12 noon. You will get about an hour or so to eat each day. Most of the time its cold but for the most part not too bad....except for the gumbo day, that was just not for me. I'm not sure about Iowa but this was how it was in S.C.
Good luck to you guys...photolurp2 Thanks this. -
Yes, I will be there Monday, also. I guess we will both find out. Unless we hear from Rawlco, Terry or another experienced TMC driver, it will just be a mystery.

I guess this means I will need to bring sausage and egg biscuits.

The rooms do have micros and refrigerators and also there is a Pilot Truck stop with a wendys and DQ & also a Hardees right next door to the hotel. Hardees does serve breakfast, some guys did that. Also a Piggly Wiggly & Subway in the shopping center behind the hotel and a Bo-Jangles across the street for dinners.
