    swamprat, I don't know about vans, but if you ever pulled a b-train, you would be throwing rocks at a set of doubles. lol
    You can back them around nearly as easy as a straight trailer, and they pull down the road sweeter without that extra joint in them.

    The only place I have ever seen them was upstate New York. They looked like a pair of 45' trailers...blew my mind because I didn't know such a thing existed.

    I have not been around b-trains like that, The only ones I have been around and pulled were flatbeds and the lead is always 40 foot or so and the pull trailer was shorter maybe 32 ft.
    There is not that many here because of our bridge law, we can use 53 ft leads with regular doubles, as long as we do not exceed 95 feet of trailer length, including the dolly or converter, which we commomnl exceed. lol
    They changed it, but I used to have to watch which set I hooked to, because we used to have a 121 foot over all length law, but they finally done away with that.

    Yall can have ur doubles. Double trailers means double the work but usally not double the pay lol

    They are so nice to drive in town. I'm gonna say they are so nice to drive on the highway too but that's after you learn to ignore them lol.

    It all depends on what and where. The guys hauling gravel are hauling by the ton on some jobs.
    When I pulled doubles it was tankers and it paid good, but there is some companies pulling double vans, from Anchorage to here,cheap as far as I am concerned. I know one of them just pays 14 cents a mile extra for the second trailer. I am like that doesn't even cover the extra fuel. lol

    I learned the hard way. I was driving up to a mountain delivery in California, and saw them swinging. With one going this way and the other that way, it looked like the back one was ready to go on its side. I made it a point to avoid the mirrors after that!

    The only time I can remember a set of wiggle wagons scaring me, I was not even pulling them. I was following a set one night running up I -35 in Ok during a pretty hard rain. We were making way better time than we should have been. He hit water standing in the road and the last thing I saw was that back box sideways across the road before a wall of water hit that the wipers didn't stand a chance of clearing. I went through it not knowing if it had stayed on it's wheels or not.
    When the windshield cleared he was cruising right on down the road, I told him to stay int he right lane, I was coming around, if we hit something like that again, it was his turn to be scared, lol

    I have pulled full sized doubles a lot more than short ones, but mostly tanks and flats, as far as I am concerned they do not wiggle near as much as the short ones.
