I'm looking at Prime and like what they have on there website. Reviews on this website are about the same as all the other companies maybe better. Does Prime hire out of South Florida? I live in West Palm Beach and I see they have a terminal (or maybe just a drop yard) in miami which is close. I was gonna call a recruiter tomorrow but maybe I can get an answer sooner. I graduated tractor-trailer school with a 184 hour certificate on 6/25 and itching to get out there. Haven't shifted in a few weeks and that bothers me. Granted I do have a life but you know what I mean. Still waiting for Armellini to call back (or I will call by thursday) but they are teams although I will have more home time. But prime pays good for training ($600 a/week) which is $100 more than I'm making now a week. I like the ability with Prime to go solo which means I can bring the wife however I can't park a commercial vehicle at my apt complex so looks like I have to weigh my pros & cons. Having to go to Springfield, MO for orientation and be away from the wife for a couple months are gonna kill me!!! But then if they don't hire out of my area I've got nothing to worry about.
Looking at Prime Inc. so tell me what you know!!!!

If you love someone, taker Her with you after you learn to drive. My wife rode with me 23 years. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That huge tractor feels like a Yugo when She's mad. Like Heaven when she's not. Just up to how much your in love
gearjammer1978 Thanks this. -

I'm owner operator so i don't know about companys. Fla is a gold mine due to hurricanes. Flat Bed heaven. I run heavy haul. Some other trailers. You will find the right company. May have trouble getting home in winter.

Windy Hill does the same as Armellini, but I don't know anything about the pay.
Check Comcar for tanker work; they just hired a guy out of Florida and right out of CDL school. He drives a day cab and home every night.
Rinaudo Enterprise Inc. is a heavy haul that will hire new CDL drivers; they're out of Jacksonville, but don't know if they hire that far South.
Melton Truck Lines hires out of Florida and drivers average pay is over $50K per year.
You might do OK with Prime, if they hire that far South. I saw a lot of their trucks down there when I hauled produce & orange juice out of there. -

Prime also runs 57mph. Most annoying thing coming up at 70mph to these ppl
