I couldn't finish the training program because my meniscus snapped but tried to drive 2 days with it anyway, however the 57 mph is really slow but good for new drivers. Since you have your CDL already you'll have to drive about 40k miles I think to become a solo driver but since I didn't get that far I can't be for certain. The one thing you need to know is you need to have your own health insurance (or replacement like alfak?) because until you are completely hired on you are not covered by worker's comp. My injury wasn't covered even though it happened during training. Whether that is right or wrong is not for me to say but if I had known I might not have gone with them because I don't have my own health insurance.

There is a contract but as long as you either complete it or get out before the time limit, I think 7 business days, you won't have to pay it.

    Good luck to you.

You attended their PSD school. You were a student, not a trainee... Yet. They make it perfectly clear you are not an employee till you pass the state CDL exam and get your Liscense. They certainly don't pay you as a student.

I'd be interested for you to find any school that would cover workmans comp classified as a student.

Trainees are students that have geaduated with their CDLs and are then employees, who are PAID, and covered by workmans comp, and are eligible for health insurance 90 days from start of employment.

You know I know that now, what is not needed is you jumping on my bandwagon. All I am saying is that I wish I had understood that point when I signed up. I'm not criticizing Prime or how they do things, just that people need to understand in plain terms that they are on their own until they are an official employee.

Jumpin on you bandwagon would imply that I agree with everything you said.

errors or omission aside, your post implied your problem was more Primes fault or that you were some how mislead on Prime's policies.

however unfortunate your situation was, you be in the exact same boat as you are now if you'd gone to any other school.
