Keep your 60 series glider. Good money making setup right there. You'd be crazy to get rid of it

What would the 20k be going into?

Full paint, chassis paint, bull gear and injector set.

If you can clean up the chassis yourself and paint it, that'll save a bunch right there. Paint on the truck can wait. But try and save the rest of the frame yourself if you can.

Did you get a quote on the bull gear and injectors?

    Elroythekid Thanks this.

The other truck we have the 99 needs a paint job on the hood/cab/sleeper probably ain't gonna do that this year. The frame if you have the tools is fairly easy to do it yourself

Not yet, had it looked at and was told it was good. (Bull gear), but for piece of mind, I'd just like to have it done.
Injectors have 840k miles on them, irs just gotta be times soon.
The paint is something I just dont want to tackle. I have LOTS of projects around here I WANT to do, that ain't one of em's. Lol.
I have a square body I'm getting set to yank the motor and rebuild, then it gets paint and Interior next winter.
I have this fantasy of painting my freightliner the same 2 tone.... lol $_1.jpeg

The 12.7 is one of the most reliable money making engines there is. I'd think you'd be way ahead sprucing that up. It's already aero truck that gets good mpg, I see no reason to drop 200+K on a new truck that might also give you headaches.....even with the factory warranty. Still doesn't account for downtime

    Vampire and Elroythekid Thank this.

Tune and turbo will also bring up your mpg if you don't go balls to the wall all the time.

    Vampire and Elroythekid Thank this.
