I should've added... "thinking about getting a truck once prices drop a lil & rates get better". I'm gonna stick where I am til then. Just exploring options now.

Yes, thought about Walmart only I wouldn't be able to stay out as long as I'd like. I like to drive for 3 months & take 1 month off. Unfortunately my guy that works there said that's not an option.

You can do fine if you’re smart about your running this week I averaged $4.36 a mile all miles on track to gross $9,873 this week with 4 loads. I would say if you go with SFI use them as a way to learn and grow your company if you can stick it out for at least 1yr countless doors will be open for you. As soon as you get your truck start building your business credit.

If you keep your head down and minimize the expenditures, leasing is not bad right now with the right company. Fuel is thru the roof and rates are not where they should be on average. good loads are out there but so are a lot of bad loads. Gotta be smart dispatching loads for decent rate to good reload areas. If I was with a company making good money right now, I would wait. Truck prices are up 20-30%, so weekly payments are going to be more.

Sfi isn't a bad company to lease from if you don't want to own the truck in the end. 200k+ payed in lease and a 70k buyout isn't worth it to me. There are companies that lease trucks over 3 to 5 years and are payed off at lease end. No buyout or balloon payments. Super ego is one of these companies. $0 down on used trucks and $3-5k if you want a new truck around $190k total on a new truck over 5 years and around $50k on a newer under 3 year old trl over 3 year term. Not to bad to me..
New truck at dealership today $220k oo spec. Super ego is a base/ standard option truck.
New trl $79k at the local dealer
So do your research and make up your own mind if it's a good deal

Only thing I will remind people of about lease purchase .....it's not your truck even if they say it's yours after three years if they go under after you made 2 years and 11 months payments that truck goes to the bank and you get nothing ....remember arrow anyone I wouldn't lease purchase anything in this market or truthfully ever

Are you still leasing? Wondering how things have changed for you in these two years?

I think I took between 4 and 7 days off if I remember correctly. I left the lease game for a local gig six months ago. If you want to learn about my experience with leasing I put it all here with numbers. My lease adventure is the name of it.
