I'm looking for a 3 camera setup with some specific settings on it.
The problem I have with most of the ones I've found (FalconEye etc) is that they all seem to use pretty much the same firmware and have a similar problem: when you hit the record button or an event sets it off, and let's say you have the recording time set to 5 minutes and it gets set off at 4:59 into one recording, then you end up with a 5 minute video of things that happened before it starting saving - up to and including that 1 minute from 4:59 to 5:00, and then it doesn't save the next 5 minutes. Am I making sense? What crack baby dreamed this up? Can't they at least save 2:30 before and 2:30 after into 1 file and call it a day?
So does anyone know of a system that when you start recording a 5 minute clips, it actually saves the 5 minutes before and the 5 minutes after (or 2:30 before and 2:30 after) when you have it set to 5 minute recordings? Or is that just too logical for firmware developers?

This is the system I have. I have 4 cameras with mine and since I own my trailer I have a camera on the back of it also. It is not cheap, but their are similar systems on Amazon that are. I record 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Mine has an SD card of 32gb that saves about 7 days worth of files before it deletes the oldest. If you don’t own your truck it probably wouldn’t be a good system because it is a several hour install.

But I'm curious though... you get a week recording 24/7 on a 32gb card with that 4 camera system? FalconEyes only claims 32-40 Hrs with 128GB cards on their 3 camera setup (2 micro SD cards, main camera records to 1 card and the satellite cameras record to the other). Do you record in 1080? -
It has been almost a year since I set it up and I don’t remember what setting it is. I was told that the files are compressed to allow for the long length of recording time, not sure how it works. Next time I get a chance I will look at the settings and see exactly how many days of recording it has on file.

I do know that with the same size card in my GoPro I only got 7 hours. Maybe it has something to do with the recording device that allows for longer memory.

There is no way to get a week of 24/7 video onto a 32 GB card unless you were recording in extremely low resolution at 5 or less frames per second. There is no Codec that does that. If it is in 1080, you will get anywhere from 5 hours to 10 hours on a 32 GB card depending on frame rate and compression. -
All I can tell you is what is saved on my system. But I have viewd multiple days worth of footage that was saved on this card. It was resolution good enough that it appears the same as what is live on the monitor. I am not trying to sell you or anyone because I only need it to work for me. So far it has.

I was stating a technical fact about camera systems because I build them. There is no technological way to store a week of "continuous" footage on a 32 GB storage medium unless the maker were to drop the resolution and frame rate to very low levels. It IS however, quite easy to store a week worth of what you would call "incident" video on a 32 GB card, and not "continuous" video 24/7.
Sounds like yours is working great for your purposes.
