Ruined the crank in an ‘86 Superliner, due to #5 cylinder rod bearing. Looking for another E6 300 - 350hp engine.

Both my bro in laws are retired Mack engine builders….and two of my buddies w/super liners still working are regulars on here
They tell me it’s the best place to get Mack info….lots and lots of the eastern Pa Dutch mafia w/years of info
Good luck
BigMackTrucks.comNorth Pole Nightmare, mile marker 27 and MACK E-6 Thank this. -
I don’t know squat about a Mack engine, but they’re more similar to a Cat setup, than a Cummins. This is my in laws truck and over the past few years they’ve swapped injection pumps on it a couple times and they’re not diesel mechanics(not that I consider myself one) but I do realize they time off the pump. The pan was already dropped, when I got there this afternoon and there’s literally no top rod bearing left of #5. There’s only about half the bottom bearing. Everything else up through the hole looked fine, including liner and piston cooler. #5 journal is ####. Didn’t notice anything as bad from any other cylinders. Thrust washers looked fine too, with very minimal end play.

Would they like a Super Liner with a factory cat? I thank it is in frame time but it is complete and runs.

B Model with a bad 13 speed. Air liner cutoff. Good tires robbed off of it. Not mine I just know when it is at.
