Just couldn't help myself.rookietrucker, Elvenhome21 and moblue Thank this. -
My experience with apu's is you get what you pay for. Buy a cheap one and you'll have nothing but problems. Even some of the better quality ones are a headache. I think the best would have to be the tripack by thermoking.

there is no such thing as a cheap apu.
you could get a 2500 watt or larger power invertor and one of those portable roll around ac units but you'd need a 4 or 5 inch hole to vent it out, the units are large and they won't runn too long on your 4 truck batteries so you will still need to run the truck to charge them quite often. You could add 4 deep cycle batteries and a batt isolator. I have a buddy who has a small window unit mounted under his bunk, he cut a hole in the floor then built a sheetmetal hood to attach to the rear of the unit and vent it into the hole. he says he can run it for like 8 hours. -
Go here......
I have one and it works.....Runaway02, LostOne9 and CHICKENMAN Thank this.
