All the ones listed hire new drivers except Interstate; think they require 6 mos. experience which was recently dropped from 12 mos.

You said all of that to say WHAT? You didn't say anything, If you are trying to say I can't drive because of a back issues is not correct. So answer the question. Thanks.

never driven an auto but sometimes in heavy LA traffic I sure wish I had one, I float when I can though to save my leg. My new freightliner has the easiest clutch to press I have found so far, my old prostar was the worst and gave bad clutch leg within minutes of bad traffic.

Husband drove an automatic in a Volvo before, he liked it, easier on the hands too.

Floating gears doesn't save your knee or any other body part much in Chicago or any other major city traffic unless the traffic never forces you to stop.

Driving an auto might as well be the same as staying home collecting a welfare check. There ain't no work in that and it #### sure ain't classified as truckin. I think its more so for lazy folk IMHO and I know people are gonna criticize me saying so.

Doesn't PAM run auto's? And I am sure they hire rookies. I know someone driving for them now. He has about three months experience

Shifting gears does not a driver make.....some of the best drivers I know run auto's. I prefer a 13 SPD manual myself though.
