Well I have talked to Fremont contract carriers and they were so nice to me and said they can get me down to Florida for time off. I have only heard good things about them . I have applied and I'm going with them if they take me.

    FCC? :D

An EXCELLENT choice -- kudos!!!

Didn't think they would hire out of central/south FL.

Do keep us posted on how this goes....

I told them I am in Utah and licensed in Utah . I don't think they hire out of Florida with Florida license. I told them I just want time off down there and I can move to south Georgia if needed to stay at FCC. I am excited and I will update everyone once i get hired on .

Same boat here bro. I quit in 2010 to help my elderly parents live their lives out in their own home and not have to go to a senior citizen 'encampment'. I started in 93 thru 2010 all otr and company driver. No wrecks, tickets or dui's ever. Had hazmat and the port clearance security thing I had to pay for. However, since I haven't driven since 2010, I would have to go thru a school because we all know things change that much?? Hunh! I told them I knew exactly what changes have happened, and they said, oh? Yeah! The only thing that's changed is that there's A LOT MORE ban-da-hoes on the streets and highways out there!! CLICK....guess they didn't like my answer. LoL just as well though, cause I don't kiss no butts or suck up to anyone out there, because at the end of the day they like to blame anything and everything on you!

Speaking of reefers, is Trans Am still doing business out there?

I don't think TransAm hires in California.

FFE and KLLM each have a 9 day refresher course. They both run ads for drivers in California.

Ya I am actually taking my final exam today . I just did CDL school over again. I did not have to take the entry level driving test . But I did everything over just to cover all my bases and not have any problems going forward. I should be a CDL holder again by 5 pm mountain time . I am ready to hit the road and be done with that Part of my journey. You are valuable to this industry with experience. I know it's going to all worth starting over when I'm making them big bucks. Best of luck to you !

Good Luck to you too bro! Just be careful, keep your head on a swivel, and have patience....but you know all that! I wanna thank you for going back to it, to haul the stuff that we crazy four wheelers think we need to survive! That goes out to ALL my brothers and sisters out there, thank you!! Me? I'll probably never go back due to physical limitations now.
