$1.15 a mile ?
To O/O’s ?
That won’t even cover fuel .
Unless the fuel is paid 100% by the company even then it wouldn’t cover the payment and maintenance. what am
I Missing here ?
My neighbor averages .89 a mile driving a brand new W-900 company truck . home every weekend . -
Also, look at the miles. what O/O isn't running more than 1800 miles in a week? The only time they are making $1.15 is when they run over into a Sunday/Monday right before vacation or pull out of the yard on a Friday/Saturday right after vacation. They are all making $1.22 every other week of the year.
Next: maintenance. We charge them $45/hour shop rate and give them the company's pricing on parts/fluids. That's about 30% of the going rate. How much was your last service? Now cut that cost by about 70%. This makes that mileage pay go even further.
Payment? That's a personal decision. Most of our O/Os bought and paid off their trucks on this program and enjoy no truck payment today. A few got Volvos, a couple got Petes, a couple Freight shakers, and one got a W9. We rarely sign-on an outside O/O, most of ours are company drivers that decided to buy their own truck and "be their own boss" while still working for the same company.
We haul contract freight, not spot-market freight. This ensures the FSC remains high as the fuel price climbs. All of the company-paid or discounted items on top make the $1.22 more than worth it. -

Current openings: Careers
Advisory for regional drivers: We are pretty much out of trucks to assign. While I can hire a few more folks, you must know in advance that until new trucks come in, you would be assigned a 2018 from our part-time fleet until a newer truck comes available, hopefully the next batch arrives in 4-6 weeks (already 5 months overdue). Those trucks (double-bunks) are already spoken for by drivers who requested them, but when they arrive, those drivers will filter out of their trucks and theirs will come available (mostly 2021 and 2022 models). -
I sent you a PM.
