I know Fitzgerald put there own engine serial number plates with the Fitzgerald logo on there.

As far as if you purchased one from Fitzgerald with a Detroit reman....im assuming a factory plate is on the engine.

I sold my 14.0 6 months ago for 24k. Attached to a 06’ century. The truck itself was in rough shape, but it drove like it couldn’t die (fully rebuilt engine)

Those aren’t true gliders. He’s repowering used emission trucks and getting an assembled title for them in NE.

Your best bet would be buying a pre emissions truck if you plan on rebuilding anyway.

I heard it is illegal to swapped new engine for 99 S60 series.

    Why?

Rip the engine out of whatever you have, and put in a detroit.

Technically it’s illegal. The likelihood of a truck owner getting caught is low. The EPA would come down on the shops doing the engine swaps before they would a truck owner. And the FMCSA doesn’t care about EPA stuff when they’re doing inspections.
