Hello all, I am new to trucking only have about 4 months of experience, and I am looking for a company I can work for a few years with first to learn the industry. The hard part is finding one that has a good financing program that won't sell me a dream. I have a friend that works for Schneider that now has 3 years as an owner operator, he has told me that it is a good company to drive for, any suggestions? Almost forgot I'm in the north east.
Looking for a good company to finance from.

That is extremely helpful for individual company look up, will definitely look there for the scoops on each company, but also trying to see if I can find some type of forum that has some sort of list of top companies with the best financing programs, I know there is a lot of companies that have extremely bad programs and very few that have really good ones.

Schneider requires a year of experience before you can lease on with them. That's all I got.

So the OP is looking to finance/lease a truck with a trainer company? Where have we heard that story before?

I have heard great things about schneider's owner operator program, but a friend on the inside told me you are only required to work 6 months before you can get financed.

It's not really set in stone yet, I'm just looking at options once I'm deeper in this career, will not just jump into it at random. I have been doing some research and have heard of many cases of companies taking advantage through their owner operator programs, also have heard of several cases as well of owner operators doing really well. A friend of mines has been an owner operator now through schneider for 3 years and says he loves it.
