I am looking for a small company to work for as an owner operator. My record is not the best because there are things still there that have not fallen off that should have. Until then I need work. Any suggestions? I live in Ohio

Orientation is only 2 days ($300 paid at the end of the week) and they have you in a decent hotel ( solo no roomie) I drove myself there and they psy .50 pet mile or you csn reimburse a rental up to $175. as an IC which im doing pay is 1.09ld & 1.00 mty. $40 stops. There is no sign on bonud. The ppl here are really nice. Dispatch idntva pain. They have ELD mobile transflo and they kerp me moving!

Reason for edit: Phone number and Referral info.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
At those rates I can’t see you making money unless you have to do many stops per day.
$1.00 a mile was a poor rate 30 years ago.
I hope you have at least 10 stops a day .Intothesunset, highwayMike and spyder7723 Thank this. -
Are you flatbed?

Well what makes one fat, another will remain un-fed. I personally don't look forward to the stops but many who are here do 2/3 per day. I'm not an O/O - which is probably the only driver's making 30 year equivalent pay per mile. Most of the drivers here who are company see maybe $17 - 2400 a week. IC's abit more. Factor that we all go home 2x's a week. No one is kept hostage on the road (unless they WANT to). This isn't a flat bed gig. (I'm too lazy for that work) Milan mostly do dedicated, regional and otr. No north eastern, no west coast Dry Van and/or refer only. Like I said this is pretty sweet. (@ least for my needs). Come aboard give it a try. Don't forget to use my Truck number for the extra referral bonus 131285

Referral is the only bonus they have in relation to signing on and the new employee or IC will get 1500 after 30 days as long as they put on the application who referred them. I will get a referral also in 30 days if you use my truck #131285.
You also get a safety bonus of 100 bucks and if you get a passing level 1 inspection you get 100. Levels 2&3 receive 50. -
Wow $1 per mile or $1.09 loaded is that correct?
And you just drive the truck like a company guy? So you do not pay for fuel, insurance, and repairs?
That does seem impressive.
As a straight 1099 paid employee. -
Well it isn't THAT impressive. You still pay for fuel, tires and insurance but all repairs and PMS are paid by Milan. And yes it's 1099.
The cost of the truck.
Fuel (but at a discounted cost most places I pay less than .42 cash price) and they still give you the fuel surcharge.
Of course true O/O wouldn't see this as being "sweet" or impressive but from what I can tell I'm @ 1.6 today per mile when you factor in all the fixed and variable expenses. But my view is I dont have initial investment costs, or O/O experience whom I suspect get some where @ 5 -9.50 per mile once you factor everything a true O/O has to absorb. I'm confident there are O/O who do much better per mile than that. But it's very easy to get behind in this game with a bunch of variables outside the operator's control. Some basically live on the road for a season or so a take weeks off at a time. One day we should all reach that level. But I have to build up my understanding of the game as well as bank before I could even consider being a true O/O. As an IC with Milan they (like many other companies) offer me the chance to do just that with this walk away lease. When I do get the level of knowledge of this game maybe I could get those super rates from picking my own load and running lanes. I'm guessing if you "own" your truck Milan may not be the place IDK. But I wouldn't know how the numbers work in that regard.
