hey mike what kind of experince do you have?i will give you my 2 cents worth first of all don't take what you read on here 100% there are some decent carriers out there. knight for one not bad i worked there 3 yrs treated me fairly. swift will get the experince you need what do you want to do flatbed, van, reefer?also watch your record your dac report is like your credit report don't mess it up leave a company on good terms no matter what! that is the main thing.i see that you live near by me. my uncle had 36 years with jb hunt went from driver to office and never had a problem with them he is now retired and living comfortably on his pension so they might be a choice for you. the post on this website are not all true"as far as im concerned" the main thing is if you are looking for a driving job just do it keep the left door closed don't stop at every truckstop and never let a company make you drive over your 11 hours.keep it legal because eventually you will get caught and with csa2010 coming it's not worth it there is a company in your town called star transport i don't kno their requirements but it is worth a shot also an weber isnt that bad of a place to start well good luck to you hope this helps you .

I wouldn't reccommend CFI/Conway to a experienced driver.I think they are great for a beginner though. If you can make it a year there just starting out you will be able to drive for anyone.

I got an email from Con-Way yesterday. They require 6 months OTR for company driver seats.

Yes it's possible, it's based on a one year time period. How many people don't make it a year. Some are three months some six and then another driver takes their place and then ends up quitting before the year is out.
