If you want flatbed, Sammons has an interesting lease purchase program to look at.

The payment structure is rather unique, last time I checked they gave “The truck” 75% of the gross and %100 of the FSC. Out of that 75%/FSC, 74% and the FSC goes to the truck maintenance and fuel cost and anything left over is your lease payment. The other 26% goes to you for your pay. That way you always get some pay to take home as long as you have some loads and if you run a lot you can pay off the truck fairly quickly.

They do not have any company drivers to compete for loads with, it is all O/O or L/O and they allow you to get loads from load boards other than theirs.

Greatwide in Goodlettsville pulls refrigerated and van. Their program is not a lease-purchase, it's a owner-operator program. Check the website. You can shop for any truck you want & the best are at dealership trade-in lots such as Volvo, Freightliner, etc. Greatwide gives you $2000.00 for the downpayment and arranges financing for you.

Paschall Truck Lines in Murray, KY has lease-purchase and their trucks have APU's.

In Goodlettsville they pull for Associated Grocers and it's no-touch freight for the drivers. The driver just counts the pallets the customer pulls off. No writeups, no breakdowns, nothing but count the pallets and then leave. They have company or 0/0 drivers. Many of the 0/0's do backhauls such as produce or orange juice from Florida back to Goodlettsville. You might haul a load of butter to Texas and then something back to Goodlettsville. Those 0/0's there do very good financially if they start off with a good used tractor.
