I like that "I was not concerned about what the other drivers did, didn't do or earned. I stayed focus on MY situation. How much would people accomplish if they did that.

I went with dart transit 8 months ago and its been the best company ive worked for. Im leasing a 2016 cascadia and i havent seen one paycheck thats dissapointed me. I average 4k miles a week since ive started and haul about 10k lb to 22k lb on my loads. Easy company to start up with.

That's OK but I run a thousand miles every day and get paid in cash. Just kidding!

I also work for dart in the past not sure which account you are on but I never heard of a driver on there pulling a check every week they are not a bad carrier to work for but keep it 100 driver and would work for them again yes so don't have a problem with them so run with that

update: I was mixing threads and responses, I meant to say that CPM should not be over .42cpm for FUEL only.

@ pepper24, I would agree with your numbers and currently mine are hovering at .98 cpm overall CPM to operate this truck. The national avg currently is $2.53/gal and I am getting 7.4 mpg ave. and the truck runs an average of 4900 miles per week(team). Fueling at non chaing stops attributed to our overall bottom line as well as not using "company" fuel card. I see 100% of the savings this way.

You haven't done this long have you.Just fuel based on 7 mpg at $2.50 a gallon on a 2500 mile week would cost you .35 cents a mile now you want to add a truck payment, insurance, maintenance, tags, permits, taxes. What ever your doing I don't know but I think your calculater is broken

What national average is 2.50.Now if your under the impression you can operate a truck for .42 cents a mile post the numbers.just fuel average.28 to .42 a mile depending on mpg with nothing else

Never said agreed with proposition that a truck can be operated for $.42 ... But $2.50 for fuel ... and $2.50 isn't even the national average, at least not since before Christmas. Fuel's been $2.55 or higher all year.

But really it doesn't take much effort to keep you your fuel cost at least $.20 per gallon better than the national average.

Ok then my bad at $ 2.20 a gallon it would cost a 7 mpg .31 cents for fuel only. noticed you net picked over fuel price a lot of guys aren't averaging 7 mpg either.
