    OK, that gives me a more complete picture. Now I understand better.
    For you, a refresher course would only be needed if a potential employer required it in order to meet any possible insurance "standard", with his insurance provider.
    I also had a Class A many years ago, for similar reasons. But back then it was pre-CDL days and called a Class D.

    Best bet for construction work is face-to-face door knocking, imo.
    If you can "network" yourself among other dump drivers & construction "suits", it may help.

    Cajun, that's basically my plan to door knock and read the classifieds for local work.gotta retire first :)...only problem is retiring in the winter is the worst time to find construction work. but I gotta say I wont mind taking a few well deserved months off. I will update this thread when I find a job. you have been very helpful thank you.
