What are you talking about, they have a lot of reefer work.

To the op, landstar isn't a place where you sit and wait for work, you have to engage with the agents (they don't have brokers). With a reefer there are agents who specialize in that type of work, and again it isn't where you just sit around waiting for the work. It takes a lot of work to use them successfully, some are lucky to get into a groove with a few agents and others need to stay a driver and never buy a truck.

Two agents running reefer out of what 1,000 agents or what ever they have. That's a low number. Landstar sell their system as running off their load board. But they also say something like 70% of the loads are never posted. They don't say that when you sign on. They don't tell you how some agents have their own trucks or agent has husband that's also has his own truck. She would always give her husband the best loads.

They don't tell you how some loads on the load board are not real. Their is no real difference between and Landstar agent and broker. The agents can even post their loads on the Landstar load board or their broker board. You know this when you call because sometimes they ask who you work for or your MC number. Two guys in Laredo TX got fired for playing with the trailer pool in Laredo TX. They would not give BCOs empty trailers. They would give them to the agents in Laredo TX. The agents would only post their cheap loads out, give the good loads to their friends or you if you could get inside their circle of friends..

2 million dollar agent in Nogales AZ almost never posted his loads. He had his usual drivers we worked with. So if you find some agents that can hook you up you can do better. The agents would play their games with the drivers also

All agents do that, most are agents for 2 or 3 different companies. You have to know enough, about Florida, to bounce to Georgia, Alabama or South Carolina. Your driver should know that.
