The concentrate on regional runs in the 300-600 mile range you'll rarely go more then a day or two from home.

Allot of the time the smaller company's fall thru the cracks. Try using safestat to help.
I have done this and found it to be helpful.
you just have to practice searching in it, to cut out the lawn care company's and others. You can search by state. Interstate company's, and try using the number of trucks as a guide in a search. Less than 20 ignore for now, this will get out allot of the owner ops and little local stuff. Then from there find out what you can about the ones left. You may find you recognize some names, and just did not remember them.
Also you can look to see what they have gotten tickets for ect. This can help to see how the company's run there drivers.

    I just pulled AL.
Search by state, interstate company's. Once the list is there click on # Power units.
Then start looking at around page 129-137.
These are all 12+ trucks in AL.
Many were trucking company's not local stuff.

    mule Thanks this.

    3 years.

You'd think more people would post some helpful info about who they drive for so you could compare a few? :biggrin_25511:

You can try hauling gasoline. A simple search shows there's jobs in Birmingham and Montgomery with Energy Dispatch. I know nothing about the company but I do know once you get in and drive tankers for awhile you learn what's the best companies to work for. Alot of times you see all the companies loading from the same terminal and everybody knows each other. You can work yourself up to work for one of the majors and you'll find the pay is the best with great beneifts.
